At Tennessee Urology, you will be cared for by a team that is dedicated to supporting you with an integrated approach to treating your cancer. In addition to physicians and patient navigators, our resources include:
A PROSTATE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP meets on the last Thursday of every month at the Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center. The support session is for anyone who has prostate cancer, even those who are actively undergoing treatment, or anyone who has been treated for prostate cancer. Family and friends are welcome.
The group provides a safe place for men to express their feelings about prostate cancer and share information about their diagnosis and treatment with other prostate cancer patients and survivors. We have created a unique, relaxed and friendly atmosphere in these groups, along with educational medical information. Spouses and partners are encouraged to attend prostate cancer support meetings to learn more about prostate cancer and to meet with others who have been through the prostate cancer experience.
