Dr. Jacob Oppenheimer practices general urology and is an expert in treatment of several cancers, including bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicular cancer. His clinical interests include the diagnosis and the treatment of incontinence, UTI, and urethral stricture. Dr. Oppenheimer also utilizes cutting-edge procedures for the treatment
and prevention of kidney stones.

Dr. Oppenheimer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis before attending medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He later completed his General Surgery Internship and Urology Residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where
he was recognized by the university’s faculty with the William Glover, MD Patient-Centered Care Resident Award in 2018. This award is presented annually to an outstanding clinical resident each year.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Oppenheimer has performed extensive research and has been published on topics including bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and space (microgravity) urology.

He is a member of the American Urologic Association and was drawn to Colorado by his love of the outdoors. Having worked as a fly-fishing guide before attending medical school, Dr. Oppenheimer looks forward to exploring remote trout streams in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana in his spare time.
