Free Screenings & Community Support

Free Community Prostate Cancer Screenings

Franciscan center

Since 2007, Chesapeake Urology’s partnership with African American churches has provided more than 8,000 free prostate cancer screenings to those in need throughout the greater Baltimore region. These screenings promote preventive care, create awareness in under-served populations and bring physicians into the communities.

All screenings include a PSA test and DRE exam along with educational information about risk factors and treatments of this deadly disease.

DUE TO COVID-19, IN-PERSON SCREENINGS HAVE BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES ON FUTURE PROSTATE CANCER SCREENINGS.

The Walk to End Bladder Cancer

BCANChesapeake Urology treats over 8,000 bladder cancer patients per year and began supporting the BCAN Walk to End Bladder Cancer in support of our patients and their families.

BCAN, a non-profit organization, hosts walks in 29 states. The Maryland walk supports patients and survivors, increases awareness of a largely ignored cancer, and raises funds for a cure. We are proud to support this great cause. For more information visit www.bcan.org.
