Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery
Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgical Procedures
Thanks to amazing advances in medicine, patients now have the option to have less-invasive surgeries that allow them to recover quickly and return to their normal activities sooner than after traditional “open” surgeries.
Laparoscopy is one minimally invasive technique employed by our skilled
urologic surgeons. In these procedures, the surgeon makes several very
small incisions instead of one large one, inserting tiny surgical instruments
and a miniature video camera to view the surgical area. Our highly trained
surgeons are leaders in using laparoscopic techniques. Some procedures
can be performed using standard laparoscopy or robot-assisted techniques,
depending on the disease and the preference of the surgeon.
Laparoscopic surgery procedures include:
- Laparoscopic nephrectomy
- Laparoscopic retroperitoneal lymph node dissection
- Laparoscopic adrenalectomy
