Autologous Cellular Immunotherapy (PROVENGE)

Autologous Cellular Immunotherapy (Provenge®) Is An Innovative Treatment Option For Advanced Prostate Cancer That Uses Your Own Body's Immune System
To Fight The Cancer.

How Does Provenge Work?

Sipuleucel-T (PROVENGE®) is a state-of-the-art treatment option for certain men with advanced prostate cancer that uses your body's own immune system to fight advanced prostate cancer.

PROVENGE works by stimulating your immune system to fight cancer, and is designed specifically for each individual cancer patient. Each dose consists of your own immune cells that have been trained to seek and attack prostate cancer cells. Because PROVENGE is not a chemotherapy drug you will not experience the common, sometimes difficult, side effects often seen in chemotherapy. It also is not a hormone therapy. Sipuleucel-T is considered a National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) as a "category 1" (highest recommendation) treatment for castrate resistant prostate cancer.

How Is Provenge Different?

Sometimes cancer cells can "hide" from your immune system. PROVENGE is designed to train your body's immune cells to seek and attack prostate cancer cells.

PROVENGE is the only FDA-approved autologous cellular immunotherapy for the treatment of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic metastatic castrate resistant (hormone refractory) prostate cancer.
